As an example, if the user is searching for “2659”, our massive data store returns several matches using our traditional free text search. This might include a work order number, a pole number and a house number. Before AI, we simply listed all the results and the user would pick one, similar to a Google search result.

With AI however, the search query (2659) is just one of the inputs. It will analyze the user’s profile, visible data layers, the current date and other parameters to fine tune the search results and return more relevant results. This provides a more intuitive experience and helps users find what they’re looking for more quickly.

Traditional searches are a lot like intelligent guesses: they rely on free text search and a smart user to pick the right match from a long list of results.
