We, at Cliffhanger Solutions, are pleased to announce that Atlas now uses Extensions. In the past we had all functionality automatically enabled in the core product, but since we have significantly expanded Atlas’s functional footprint over the past year, we were forced to only enable functionality as needed. From a pure technical perspective, Atlas still contains all extensions. In our world however, we don’t want to call it a module or plugin and market each extension as if it were a different product. It is not. It is still the same core product and code base. Extensions can simply be enabled by an administrator in the admin panel. Different extensions can be enabled for certain users only, keeping the UI clean and the UX pleasant. One codebase also keeps  maintenance and support under control, so we can focus on use cases instead.

So which extensions are now available?

  • Inspection
  • Damage Assessment
  • Automated Driving Survey
  • Vegetation Management
  • Augmented Reality
  • Third party hardware Integration such as Resistograph’s, DPIR’s, etc
  • Work Assignments
  • Dashboards
  • Track and Trace
  • Import/Export
  • QR/barcode reader

Virtually every customer and user takes advantage of the functionality that is enabled by default:

  • Access Level Control
  • Document Management (attach PDF’s as pins on the map) with searchable content,
  • Photo Attachments
  • GPS

Why is this good?

  • One product (instead of charging for each module)
  • No customization’s needed (instead of customizations for each and every installation)
  • Easy configuration (mostly an automated process), no requirement to recreate styles
  • From install to production ready in less than 2 weeks (sometimes even days), certainly not months. For example, PowerOn maps, search, history & analytics in 1 day.
  • Forms ready within hours (on your data!, instead of weeks/months)
  • Schema-less (datamodel changes are not an issue)
  • Data-agnostic supporting ESRI, GE Smallworld and others
